Shelburne selectmen split 2-1 on tax-auction terms and clear police for department phones. The board approved a $5,000 minimum-bid auction of six tax-title properties over Chair Andrew's objection, who questioned the sale structure's effect on assessed values; the vote was 2-1. Police Chief Greg Bardwell won unanimous approval to equip seven officers with Verizon phones at roughly $2,400 a year, replacing a $1,500 AT&T line, calling personal-phone use for evidence "just not right," per member Rick.
Mohawk Trail Regional School District presenters outlined a $26 million to $37 million pre-K-12 consolidation plan, with Shelburne's feasibility-study share estimated near $70,000. "You don't have the money and we don't have the money," presenter Martha told the board. Separately, the board ordered a Deerfield Avenue cafe owner to clear sidewalk furniture blocking wheelchair access and a loading zone.
